Mr. Boonchu was both a nationally and internationally recognized banking expert and economist. His banking career spans more than two decades, as he served as President of Bangkok Bank Public Co.,Ltd., and chairman of the Board of Siam City Bank Public Co.,Ltd. In the international community, he was decorated with the Ordine "A1 Merito Della Repubblica Italiana" by the Italian Government and the Order of Diplomatic Service Merit, Gang Wha Medal, by the Government of South Korea. His contribution to the local community earned his membership to the Most Nobel Order of the Crown of Thailand and the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant.

      He served as Chairman of various business enterprises, professional associations and foundations, and also served both as a member and in advisory capacities on economic and budgetary committees of the House of Representatives.

      Mr. Boonchu's career both as a businessman in the private sector and as a public servant ranked him as one of the country's top bankers, a respected economist, a highly decorated member of the community, a well-known political personality, a Minister of Finance, and a Deputy Prime Minister.
